Today we rescued a Swallowtail from near death by Cardinals. It gave us a great opportunity to discuss butterflies since we recently finished a unit in insects. SH loved this guy and named him "Jackson". We found that one of the flowers they enjoy are lilacs and so we placed him on one of our bushes. He spent most of the rainy day there, resting, recovering from being nearly eaten and keeping out of the cold. I think if we could have figured out a way to house him indoors, we'd of had another pet.

Oh stuart, I think your butterfly is wonderful. Jackson is so honored that you chose him name for the butterfly.
What a wonderful day it must have been to help one of God's most beautiful creatures!
