Today we celebrate your birthday sweet Bea. It will probably the lowest key birthday party ever. For on your third birthday you indicated your disfavor at having a party-not being one to have the spotlight on you. In fact we didn't even sing happy birthday last year and you ate your cake outside, crouched in a quiet corner of the yard. By yourself! This year you have made it clear over the past twelve months that you do not want a birthday party in any way shape for form. And in the end its alright because no matter how you feel, your birth will be one of the most meaningful days that I will ever experience in my lifetime. Your birth was truly joyful (yes a bit painful), but really wonderful as we knew we were expecting a girl. We considered very carefully for many months what your name might be. We chose it for your daddy's grandmother who we loved. She was a adventerous woman who loved others through her cooking and her generous heart.

And who have you become so far? You are adventerous and active. You sing (in the privacy of home) with all your heart. You are a drummer. You find many creative ways to turn anyting into a drum. I've considered lessons as you can hold a variety of beats. Your drawing is neat and purposeful. Paticular favored subjects are the sun, ga and your little girl friends. We love the way you pray from your heart, listing the things that you enjoyed that day and thanking God for them. You love your brother and we are so thankful for the friendship you have.

We are so blessed and humbled that God choose your for us. He has blessed you with a joyful spirit. So once again today, I feel like I'm the one with the Gift.

Very sweet. What a message from her mom for little E to look back on. She's blessed to have the parents she has.

What a wonderful message! God has, indeed, blessed your household much and enabled you all be a blessing to others (my clan among them).
